Claim to Catering in Accordance with Labour Agreement
The University enables catering services to all its employees. University employees are considered those employees who signed the employment contract with the University. Employees can get one meal at advantaged price a day, but when they are at work in accordance with the time sheet in the SAP only. Working shift must take 4 hours at least. If the employee commands the disability pension of the 3rd grade, they can use the canteen even if the shift takes less than 4 hours. The request must be filed by force of the Trade Union. Employees can buy any number of meals at full price (the price for outside boarders) without the above mentioned restrictions.
Catering Account
You must have the access to the UIS (University Information System – active login and password) to be allowed to eat in university canteens. The UIS is interconnected with the catering system ISKAM. For each MENDELU employee the catering account is created automatically. Employees must also have a valid chip card (employee card).
Account Type
Employees use “free account” type, which means that during the month the account goes in the hole and the Personnel Department checks the account after the month balance of catering system in accordance with the employee´s attendance in the SAP followed by the check-off.
Catering System
In Brno the system works without orders – meals cannot be ordered in advance. The boarder chooses their meal from the current offer when ordering it in the canteen. In Lednice you can get the meal when ordering it in advance or you can get the meal without orders. The menu is displayed on the SKM MENDELU webpage (insert link).
Meal Price
The price is set in accordance with the price list quoted in the relevant Chancellor Directive (current price list). The price differs for particular boarder types. The categorization of boarders is executed by the MENDELU Personnel and Study Departments. The Dormitories and Catering Centre does NOT administer the categorization, just follows it. The price can be decreased by the trade union/ employer contribution in accordance with the conditions mentioned above (labour agreement).
Meal Distribution
MENDELU employees can eat in any MENDELU canteen during its working hours.
